What we’re offering
Copenhagen Atomics develops molten salt reactors and manufactures much of the equipment used in its own technology. The company also supplies products including test loops, high-purity salts and testing services to reactor developers, fusion projects and university laboratories around the world.
Pumped Molten Salt Test Loop
Our molten salt loop is versatile and can be adapted to multiple use-cases
HIGHLIGHTS

Products FAQ
What products does Copenhagen Atomics sell?
Copenhagen Atomics sells four product lines: pumped molten salt test loops (Version 5.6, up to 600 deg C and 300 l/min), highly purified fluoride and chloride salts (FLiNaK, FLiBe, chloride, purified to below 20 ppm oxides), nuclear-grade enriched lithium (Li-6 and Li-7 as LiF), and professional molten salt testing services at its Copenhagen facility.
Where do you ship products?
Copenhagen Atomics ships test loops and salt products worldwide. Loops come with CE marking for Europe and can be fitted with UL-approved components for North America. Salts ship in vacuum-sealed containers to limit moisture uptake during transit. Contact the sales team for lead times and shipping costs to your region.
Can I use Copenhagen Atomics' equipment to test my own materials?
Yes. The testing services offering lets external companies and research institutes run corrosion tests, materials compatibility tests and component tests using the Copenhagen Atomics test loop infrastructure in Copenhagen. Testing with natural uranium and thorium bearing salts will be available soon. Contact the team to discuss your test requirements.
How is Copenhagen Atomics salt different from commercial alternatives?
Commercial salts typically come in powder form with high levels of moisture, oxide and metal impurities. Copenhagen Atomics salts are pre-mixed, pre-melted and purified to below 20 ppm oxides. The result is a corrosion rate of less than 0.01 mm/year in SS316L at 550 deg C, compared to more than 1 mm/year for standard commercial powder salts.
Do you supply enriched lithium for molten salt reactor programmes?
Yes. Copenhagen Atomics is a nuclear-grade enriched lithium supplier providing both Li-6 and Li-7 as lithium fluoride (LiF). Li-7 is required as the fluoride carrier in most molten salt reactor fuel salts. Li-6 is used in tritium breeding blankets for fusion programmes. Both isotopes are available in kilogram to tonne quantities.
How quickly can a molten salt test loop be delivered?
Lead times vary based on current order volume and any custom configuration requirements. The standard Version 5.6 loop is 120 x 80 x 215 cm and ships on a pallet from Copenhagen. Contact the sales team for a current delivery estimate. Each loop is assembled and tested with highly purified salt before shipping.
Do products come with technical support?
Yes. Copenhagen Atomics specialists provide hands-on installation support at the customer site. The loop’s WebUI and cloud data platform provide remote access to real-time test data from any browser. Software and firmware updates are delivered through the WebUI. Ongoing support is available through the customer-specific login system.
