    Copenhagen Atomics is developing a thorium based molten salt reactor with the same footprint as a 40 foot shipping container, which delivers 100 MW thermal energy per unit and is expected to reach an electricity price below 20 USD/MWh in a mass manufacturing scenario.

    Reducing storage period

    The Thorium Reactor is expected to be online in the early 2030s, and will run on a combination of thorium and low enriched uranium or used nuclear fuel reducing the storage period of the existing nuclear waste from 100,000 to 300 years

  • Demo expected in 2028

    Demo expected in 2028

    We are in the process of building the 3rd prototype test reactor, which will validate the reactor design using natural thorium and uranium salts. We expect to have an operational 1 MWth demo reactor ready by 2028

No. Copenhagen Atomics is a private limited company. An IPO is possible in the future. Most probably this will not happen before completion of the first test reactor  The plan is to list on a major stock exchange once the first test reactor is operational (expected in 2028) or after the first commercial reactor has been running for some time. Until then, shares trade as secondaries between investors.

There is no fixed minimum for secondary share purchases. For direct participation in a capital increase, the practical starting point is EUR 100,000. The majority of direct investors are high net worth individuals (HNWIs) and family offices. Please use the form to inform us of your desired investment amount. For freely transferable B-shares there is no minimum amount.
