Join us at Copenhagen Atomics as we finish building a functioning thorium molten salt reactor.
Copenhagen Atomics has invented a new form of nuclear reactor, which is significantly more efficient than any previous nuclear reactors. This will be a game changer for the global energy sector. Our reactors will be able to provide energy at lower cost than any other technology (including fusion).
As a company, we value curiosity, flexibility, being self-driven, yet able to collaborate, and the possibility to grow as a person and professional.
Department:
The department for Reactor Approval is hiring a professional mechatronics engineer with several years of experience designing complex machinery. CAD design, sensors, control theory and documentation. We are in the process of writing licensing documentation for our nuclear reactor. Several thousand pages have been written already, and additional documents and additional details have to be designed, calculated, evaluated, examined, documented and approved. You’ll play an important role in:
- Helping finalize designs of reactor components and ensure they fulfill the requirements.
- Helping review documents written by team members to ensure consistency across thousands of pages.
- Bring experience from other industries to a team of physicists and engineers, who are experts in thorium molten salt reactor design.
- Design and review a new nuclear technology, which has the potential to alter global history forever.
To succeed in the role, you:
- Are interested in learning how nuclear reactors work and how they implement safety.
- Have an understanding of complex systems and can engage with the technical experts, who have unique knowledge about each part.
- Have excellent written English skills.
- You have several years of experience making CAD design, electronics, sensors and software.
- Are willing to develop yourself as a professional and are flexible to take new roles as Copenhagen Atomics grows.
