The Salt Component Team is hiring a professional mechanical engineer with several years of experience designing complex machinery.
CAD design, calculations and documentation. We are in the process of improving several components, this include redesign, calculations, experimentation, review meetings, dialog with suppliers of components and colleagues from the test teams. If you also have some team manager skills this is a plus.
You’ll play an important role in:
- Helping finalize designs of reactor components and ensure they fulfill the requirements.
- Helping updating CAD drawings and other order documentation.
- Help order complex parts from suppliers.
- Design new technology for the nuclear sector, which has the potential to alter global history forever.
- Have experience with grinding, milling and lath work and custom build tools for this.
To succeed in the role, you:
- Are interested in learning how nuclear reactors work.
- You have an understanding of complex systems and can engage with the technical experts, who have unique knowledge about each part.
- You have several years of experience making CAD design and stamped and casted parts from suppliers.
- Are willing to develop yourself as a professional and are flexible to take new roles as Copenhagen Atomics grows.
- Have some experience with design and repair of rotating machinery.
