About the role
We are looking for an experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer to help build and operate the IT and computing infrastructure behind Copenhagen Atomics.
We run many Linux-based systems, ranging from Raspberry Pis and embedded systems to servers and compute clusters with thousands of CPU cores. We are moving towards a Linux-first IT platform and need someone who can help make this infrastructure reliable, secure, and scalable.
This is a hands-on role where you will not simply maintain existing systems. You will help design, automate, standardise, and improve our infrastructure as the company grows.
You’ll play an important role in
- IT security — acting as part of our first line of defence, with extensive knowledge of IT security, hacking, CIA, and EU surveillance.
- Managing our infrastructure — from Linux-based systems such as Raspberry Pis and laptops to servers, compute clusters with thousands of CPUs, networks, access control, and video-surveillance systems.
- Automating and improving system management — developing scripts and tools for installation, configuration, software deployment, updates, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Building a reliable and secure IT platform — troubleshooting complex infrastructure problems, reducing downtime, improving system robustness, and implementing appropriate security measures.
- Supporting colleagues — helping team members resolve IT-related issues.
To succeed in the role, you
- Have 5+ years of professional experience working with Linux systems, ideally managing a large fleet of systems rather than individual machines.
- Have strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs, and Wi-Fi.
- Have experience with scripting and automation, particularly Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Enjoy building, automating, troubleshooting, and improving systems.
- Are curious and eager to learn. As Copenhagen Atomics grows, you will contribute to new projects and take on new areas of responsibility.
