Join us at Copenhagen Atomics as we finish building a functioning thorium molten salt reactor.
Copenhagen Atomics is developing a new kind of nuclear reactor designed for low-cost, scalable deployment. Selling reactors is not like selling software, and it is not like normal industrial sales either.
This is a long-cycle, technical, relationship-driven commercial role where trust, understanding, and persistence matter.
Department:
We are looking for a Reactor Sales Specialist to join our new and growing department in Zug, Switzerland.
This role sits at the intersection of business development, customer management, and nuclear project understanding. Our customers and partners will often have detailed questions about the technology, economics, licensing path, site selection, responsibilities, and deployment process. That means this is not a classic short-cycle sales role.
The right person may come from a strong commercial background with experience managing complex long-term customer processes. Or they may come from the nuclear world and want to move into a more commercial, customer-facing role. In both cases, they need to be able to understand complicated matters, explain them clearly, and stay engaged with the same counterparties over a long period of time.
You’ll play an important role in:
- Managing relationships with potential reactor customers and project partners
- Guiding counterparties through a long and complex commercial process
- Answering questions about the technology, business model, and deployment pathway
- Helping customers understand topics such as site selection, licensing, approvals, responsibilities, and timelines
- Coordinating internally with technical and strategic teams to support customer processes
- Building strong, long-term trust with serious counterparties
- Supporting the conversion of interest into structured commercial progress
To succeed in the role, you:
- Have strong experience in complex sales, strategic account management, business development, or similar long-cycle commercial work or
- Have relevant experience from the nuclear sector, including regulatory, licensing, utility, developer, or project-facing work, and want to move into a commercial role
- Are comfortable working with technically sophisticated customers
- Can explain difficult subjects clearly and calmly
- Are good at building durable relationships over multi-year processes
- Have strong judgment, patience, and follow-through
- Are willing to learn fast and go deep where needed
- Understand that credibility matters more than sales tricks in this kind of role
