Join us at Copenhagen Atomics as we finish building a functioning thorium molten salt reactor.
Copenhagen Atomics has invented a new form of nuclear reactor, which is significantly more efficient than any previous nuclear reactors. This will be a game changer for the global energy sector. Our reactors will be able to provide energy at lower cost than any other technology (including fusion).
As a company, we value curiosity, flexibility, being self-driven, yet able to collaborate, and the possibility to grow as a person and professional.
Department:
The molten salt components production plays a central role in Copenhagen Atomics as the team is responsible for production of salt and components used in reactor testing. The molten salt components team consists of both mechanical engineers and technicians, yet we are working very closely together towards the end-goal; supplying molten salt reactors.
As a mechanical engineer you will play a key role in production of salt storage systems. You will be involved in quality control, testing and verification of design, making technical documentation, and be involved in test procedures.
You’ll play an important role in:
- Write a user-manual for our molten salt components
- Develop technical documentation like piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
- Develop procedures for product testing and quality control
- Keep developing and re-thinking our ways of working
- Collaborating with a world-class team on molten salt technology
- Ensuring quality control and engaging with sub-suppliers on quality related issues
To succeed in the role, you:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering or a related field, with 0-5 years of relevant experience.
- Have solid practical experience from work or private projects is a plus
- Have experience with technical documentation, and are detail-oriented by nature
- Are willing to develop yourself as a professional as other projects and areas of expertise will be required as Copenhagen Atomics will grow
