Join us at Copenhagen Atomics as we finish building a functioning thorium molten salt reactor.

Copenhagen Atomics has invented a new form of nuclear reactor, which is significantly more efficient than any previous nuclear reactors. This will be a game changer for the global energy sector. Our reactors will be able to provide energy at lower cost than any other technology (including fusion).

You will be a key player in our advanced testing team, designing and building molten salt loops for in-house tests and our customers. The loop team plays a pivotal role in Copenhagen Atomics as most essential components are tested here. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to engage in the entire value chain from design to testing, including sourcing and quality control. This role offers the perfect mix of practical build and assembly work, as well as desktop design.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • Designing and assembling molten salt loops.
  • Keep developing and re-thinking our ways of working
  • Collaborating with a world-class team on molten salt technology.
  • Engaging in the entire value chain from design to testing.
  • Sourcing components and ensuring quality control.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • Hold a Professional Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with 0-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Have solid practical experience from work or private projects, including proficiency in both practical build/assembly and desktop design tasks.
  • Have experience ordering mechanical parts based on custom drawings and specifications.
  • Have experience in using CAD programs, we use OnShape.
